THERE IS NO GREATER WEALTH IN THIS WORLD THAN PEACE OF MIND!!
Peace of mind is a state of being mentally and spiritually at peace and in sync with your emotions. It is to have enough knowledge and understanding to keep oneself calm in the face of discord and stress. How great it would be to stay calm, focused and undisturbed!! Instead of getting anxious and fearful, we can choose to stay emotionally and mentally poised and unshaken.

Why do you think peace of mind is important?

Peace of mind which is inner peace, offers countless benefits. When your  mind is at peace, you are not really affected by what people think about you. You are not swayed by events or difficulties.

It helps us to concentrate better in the work that is assigned to us.

We become more efficient in handling our daily affairs.

It helps us develop patience and tolerance, a sense of inner strength and power and inner happiness and bliss.

How can we instill inner peace?

Inner peace eventually, leads to external peace. By creating peace in your inner world, in your mind, you bring it into your external world, and into other people’s lives. Here are some of the pointers that we can work on to achieve a state of calm and peace:

ACCEPTANCE: Acceptance is the most crucial element for having peace of mind. We need to understand that life is all about uncertainties and we need to accept it. We need to differentiate between what you can and cannot control. Acceptance is also about how assertive and well aware you are about your emotional needs.

DE-CLUTTER: Clutter of feelings can add to tension and emotional distress. We need to get aware of the feelings and find effective ways to have regular clear outs.

MINDFULNESS: When we are mindful, we are completely present in the moment and acutely aware of our five senses. This leaves less time for our mind to worry and think about other stressors.

SELF LOVE: The more we love and accept ourselves, the greater we achieve our peace of mind. When we accept ourselves, we are able to deal with any difficult situation we are in.

BE TRUE TO YOUR SELF: This is another vital component of peace of mind. When we practice congruence, we behave similarly to the way we feel and think. We need to be aware of our thoughts and emotions as it would affect the outcomes.

Other activities that we can have in our routine is of exercising, listening to calm and relaxing music, going for walks.
